Camp Creamery is returning to Webster City Community Theatre this summer from July 29 to Aug. 3. The children work with three professional actors for a week and finish the workshop with a full-scale musical production.

Children interested in exploring the exciting world of theatre are invited to take part in a week-long camp this summer.

Webster City Community Theatre and The Old Creamery Theatre are teaming up to bring Camp Creamery back to Webster City this summer. During this week-long theatre workshop, campers will work with three professional actors from the Amana theatrical company.

Camp Creamery is open to students who are at least 7 years old at camp time through those entering 8th grade this fall.

The workshop is scheduled for July 29 to August 3. The campers will meet Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to audition, rehearse their lines, songs, and dances, and then perform the musical. This year’s play, “The Legend of Blackbeard’s Gold,” will be performed for family and friends on August 2 and 3.

Registration is now open. The non-refundable camp fee is only $50. A limited number of scholarships are available.

There will be a maximum of 40 campers. Participants must be committed to attend each day of camp and each performance.

Registration forms are available at Sunset Heights, Pleasant View, Webster City Middle School, and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, and the Webster City Chamber office.
