Blacksmith joins Fall Weekend offerings

Legacy Learning sessions set for Briggs Woods Sept. 29-30

Ty Murray, co-owner of Boone Forks Forge will be teaching an upcoming blacksmithing class at the Red Barn in Briggs Woods Park, both Saturday, Sept. 29 and Sunday, Sept. 30 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm during the Legacy Learning Boone River Valley’s Fall Weekend.

Murray is a skilled blacksmith, who grew up working with his hands and learning the tricks of the trade from his own father. With his expertise, you will be able to craft a keychain and fire poker during the Fall Weekend. Equipment needed to particpate in the event will be leather gloves, safety glasses, long pants, closed toe boots or leather shoes, and old clothes you don’t mind getting holes in.

For information about registering for the class and materials, please contact the LLBRV by phone at 888-832-0012 or by e-mail at office@legacylearningbrv.org.
