A “Blessing of the Animals” will be held at First Congregational UCC, 1000 Willson Avenue, on Saturday, September 19, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The public is invited to join in the vacant lot next to the church to share a time of celebration and praise for the love and comfort we receive from our companions.

As part of the informal worship service there will be time of sharing to introduce animal companions, and a certificate will be given to each animal participant.

Chairs will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or other comfortable outdoor seating.

Please be sure to have dogs or other potentially aggressive animals leashed. Water and waste bags will be available, and attendees are welcome to bring your companion’s favorite snack or treat.

In case of rain, the shelter house at West Twin park has been reserved, and the service will be held there.
