Elsie Smith

Elsie Smith, of Webster City, will be celebrating her 100th birthday on October 10.

Her family is honoring her with an open house on Sunday, October 8, at the Asbury United Methodist Church dining room, from 1 to 3 p.m. She would enjoy receiving cards, but requests no gifts.

Elsie shows pride in her 100% Norwegian heritage by routinely baking prize-winning kringla. She enjoys frequent gatherings with her Farm Journal coworkers, where she worked for 22 years.

Her children are Brent (Kris) Smith. of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Marilyn (John) Middleton, of Webster City. Max, her beloved husband of 70 years, is deceased.
