Stearns celebrates 90th birthday
Eloise Stearns will celebrate her 90th birthday on Feb. 2.
Eloise Hemken Stearns was born in Blairsburg, to Frank and Gladys Hemken on Feb. 2, 1921. She was a schoolteacher for a brief time before marrying William (“Bill”) E. Stearns on June 12, 1930.
Eloise had a passion for beauty which showed initially in her fabric arts, often designing her own clothing. In the early 80’s, she discovered the Fabergé egg art and enjoys designing and creating them to this day.
The Stearns had 3 children, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren scattered across the United States, offering her plenty of opportunity to travel. A small family party is planned; however, a card shower is appreciated.
