Dick Tighe

Dick Tighe of Webster City will celebrate his 90th birthday on Oct. 25.

His family of six children include: Merydith Thomas (John) of Commanche; Paula Eddy (Dick) of DeForest, Wisconsin; Connie Humble (Bob) of Estherville; Rich Tighe (Leslie) of Tullahoma, Tennessee; Jim Tighe (Sherry) of Spencer; and Maggie Shonka (Marc) of Des Moines. He has 36 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.

Tighe was born Oct. 25, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska. He is a retired football coach and teacher of 63 years. He served in the Army from 19552 to 1954. He married his first wife, Margot Daly in Sioux City on April 27, 1953. She passed away in 2012.

He married Wyn Ann Allen of Eagle Grove on Dec. 13, 2014.
