Shirley and Don Doolittle

DUNCOMBE — Don and Shirley Doolittle, of Duncombe, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church, 2020 Superior St., Webster City.

Their family includes Kristin Cooney, Polly Doolittle and Ladd Ventling, Dan and Vicki Doolittle, and Tricia and Bill Bird. They have a number of grandchildren.

Shirley Juhl and Don Doolittle were married on June 12, 1949, at Washington Lutheran Church in Duncombe. They farmed near Brushy Lake.
