South Hamilton boys edged

JEWELL — The South Hamilton boys dropped their fourth straight game here Friday night, falling to Nevada, 60-56.

Three of the four defeats have come by less than four points.

Teagan Trask had a team-high 15 points to lead the Hawks, while Landon Skartvedt had seven of his 11 in the fourth quarter. Jacob Khounsourath had a game-high 19 for Nevada.

Landon Grove got off to a fast start, scoring five of South Hamilton’s nine first quarter points. Reece Ricke also had six in the opening half as the Hawks trailed, 26-19 at the break.

On Thursday night, South Hamilton fell to South Hardin, 76-50, as they were outscored 40-19 in the second half.

The Hawks (7-8 overall) will try to snap their skid when they head to Roland-Story on Tuesday. They finish the week at West Marshall Friday with games vs. Monroe-PCM (Feb. 7) and at Carroll Kuemper (Feb. 9) still on the schedule.
