Cadets, Cowgirls top WCHS at NCC triangular

Casady 2nd on individual leaderboard

CLARION — Katie Casady finished in the runner-up position, but one solid round wasn’t enough to keep Webster City in contention during a North Central Conference triangular at Clarmond Golf Course Friday afternoon.

Casady’s round of 50 trailed medalist Emily Christensen (49) of Clarion-Goldfield-Dows by one shot.

Iowa Falls-Alden carded a 218 to win the meet by three shots over the Cowgirls (221). WCHS (228) was at the back of the pack.

The Cadets had three scores of 55 or better. CGD and WCHS only had one player that shot better than 55.

Carly Appel added a 57 and Alley Odland a 59 for the Lynx. Stevie Barber’s 62 also factored into the team score.
