FREDRICK WINS RACE: Dan Fredrick was the winner of the 2020 Webster City Firecracker 3K Prediction Run on Saturday, as his finishing time of 12:45 was only 27 seconds off his predicted time of 13:12.

The annual Firecracker 5K was modified this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and shortened into a prediction race and walk.

Jeremy Wilson (14:06 finish, 15:00 prediction) was second, followed by Heidi Barrick, Derek Turner and Renee Kaufman.

As has become tradition, Webster City resident Arlo VanDiest competed once again and placed seventh.

Shirley Svenson was the winner of the 3K walk (25:20).
