FOREST CITY — Three South Hamilton wrestlers had perfect outings and the Hawks split duals with Forest City and Belmond-Klemme Tuesday night.

Following a loss to the host Indians, 65-18, South Hamilton stormed back from early 24-0 and 36-6 deficits to take down Belmond-Klemme, 43-42.

South Hamilton (4-8) and Belmond-Klemme (5-16) were deadlocked at 42 following the 14 weight classes. The Hawks were awarded an additional point and the dual win on the fifth criteria — total forfeits given up. The Broncos were open at four weights, compared to three for South Hamilton.

Brent Greenfield ignited the South Hamilton rally in the nightcap with a 56-second pin of B-K’s Hayden Pals at 160 pounds. It was the start of six consecutive victories that also included pins by Trevor Thompson (195) and Colton Willis (220). Lane Swenson (170), Elijah Balderas (182) and Stellen Willis (285) picked up forfeit wins.

Swenson, Thompson and Colton Willis all went 2-0 on the night. Swenson had a quick pin against Forest City’s Blake Skjeie, Thompson flattened the Indians’ Drake Freeman in 1:17, and Willis added a forfeit.

Swenson improved to 22-1 on the season. Thompson (22-4) leads the team in victories.

Forest City (12-3) also knocked off B-K, 68-12.

South Hamilton will be back on its home mats this evening for a Heart of Iowa Conference triangular against Greene County and Prairie City-Monroe at 6 p.m.
