Trojans look to end 3-game skid at home against Tigers

BLAIRSBURG – Perhaps not mathematically eliminated yet, the Northeast Hamilton football team knows its playoff hopes are virtually dead.

Still, the Trojans (2-5, 1-4) can play the spoiler.

That’s what they’ll attempt to do tonight at 7 p.m. when they host Guthrie Center (5-2, 3-2) – one of five teams still in the running for four playoff spots.

Riding a two-game win streak, Guthrie Center features an imposing one-two punch in the backfield in Austin Laabs (1,012 yards) and Cale Crowder (594 yards).

NEH?will be out to end a three-game skid and it will need to get its running tandem of Andy Pate (687 yards)?and Nick Jeffers (640 yards)?going early. They’ve both carried the ball 102 times and have rushed for a combined 22 touchdowns.
