JEWELL - Something had to give, and in the end Savana Stangeland decided she'd had enough of the losing.

Stangeland, a junior forward for the South Hamilton girls' basketball team, knocked down her fourth and final field goal with just 30 seconds remaining to put the Hawks ahead to stay in their 37-35 victory over still-winless Colfax-Mingo Friday night on Coach Jim Marsh Court.

South Hamilton (1-4, 1-4 HOIC) earned its first victory by scoring the final five points after the Tigerhawks jumped ahead 35-32 with just over two minutes remaining.
