Cornfield combustion

Firefighters were called to a cornfield fire near Woolstock on Wednesday afternoon. The fire, which was located at 1460 160th St., west of Woolstock, began at about 1:30 p.m., according to Woolstock Fire Chief Ethan Anderson. He said the fire erupted after residents started burning timber and rubbish near the field. The fire was contained at about 3:30 p.m., and the Woolstock Fire Department was assisted by the Eagle Grove Fire Department.
