A summer night indoors

Rain forces first Summer Nights event into Fuller Hall

June 17, 2013
The Daily Freeman Journal

While businesses and streets were preparing for a Summer Nights event throughout downtown Webster City, rainfall forced the event into Fuller Hall. Despite the rain, many people came to attend the event, which hosted live music, vendors, a pet parade, and a movie.

Musician Russell Lachney performed for a couple hours during the event, playing acoustic covers and other songs at request.

A pet parade, hosted by Critter Nation, brought many pets to the event. The parade, along with many tables of vendors, were hosted in the Fuller Hall gymnasium. Community members and Critter Nation brought many pets, including many breeds of dogs both young and old, and a duckling. Mixed reactions of excitement and fear were produced when the parade ended with a large python.

The next Summer Nights event is scheduled for July 5, and the last one will be hosted on Aug. 9.
