POLK CITY - Braxton Risetter was consistent from tee to green on his way to a 1-over par 36 and the medalist honor on the front nine at the tree-lined Tournament Club of Iowa yesterday afternoon.
His South Hamilton teammates didn't find the course so easy, however.
The usually consistent Hawks limped in with a 166 and finished second in a Heart of Iowa Conference quadrangular. Nevada (159) won the meet behind a 37 from runner-up medalist Zach Hansen. North Polk (182) finished third; Roland-Story (188) was fourth.
Jordan Bowers carded a 41 for South Hamilton and Trevor Ullestad posted a 42 just one night after shooting a 2-under 34 on his home course in a meet victory.
Lucas Fisher added a 47.
"A 166 just isn't going to get it done," South Hamilton head coach Mark Ullestad said. "I don't think we're as good as we thought we were because some of our more experienced guys didn't look like they were in it to win it."
