The City Council of Webster City will have a brief agenda Monday night as it meets in regular session.

Chamber officials are expected to introduce the new director, Deb Brown, who begins her duties today. Brown succeeds Carrie Fitzgerald, who moved with her family to Cedar Falls.

The council will also consider a request from the Police Department to enter into a memo of understanding with Central Iowa RSVP North on the Operation Smile Program. With the program, RSVP will supply beanie babies or other stuffed animals to pass out to children the police officers encounter during traumatic or unpleasant incidents where children are involved. RSVP would rely on donations from the public and civic groups to provide the stuffed animals.

The only other business item on the agenda is the renewal of a Class B Native Wine Permit for Heart N Home.
