The Hamilton County Fair Foundation will host their annual Sundaes on Sunday event Feb. 3 at the Webster City Middle School.
The sundaes feature hot roast beef prepared by the Hamilton County Cattlemen's group with mashed potatoes and gravy, topped with shredded cheese and a cherry tomato. Fresh baked cookies will cap off the meal, according to organizers.
Tickets are $8 and are available at the door or in the drive-up lane located at the rear door of the middle school. Diners can eat in the middle school commons or carryout. Serving runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The fund-raising dinner kicks off Phase III of the Multi-Purpose Show Arena which was completed in time for the 2012 Hamilton County Fair.
Amenities to be added in Phase III include heating, air-conditioning, rest rooms and a small refreshment area along with additional banquet tables and chairs. Plans are for the work to begin in the spring with an early summer completion date.
The Hamilton County Fair Foundation is a volunteer group who has helped to improve and promote the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Webster City.
In addition to the Hamilton County Cattlemen providing and cooking the choice roast beef, the Hamilton County senior 4-H group will also lend assistance.
