Co-chairs for the Auxiliary Election Day Luncheon, Mary Ann Erickson and Cheryl Schneider, are pictured with a stair evacuation chair, a much safer method of transporting patients down a flight of stairs, especially in tight quarters. The chair is one of several items purchased this past year for Van Deist Medical Center by the Hospital Auxiliary.Through proceeds from the Election Day Luncheon and other fundraisers, the Auxiliary has purchased over $12,000 worth of medical equipment for the hospital. In addition, the Auxiliary awards $3,000 in annual scholarships to students choosing to study in the health care field.

Proceeds from the Election Day Luncheon are used to purchase equipment and support the medical needs at Van Diest Medical Center. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to match up to $400.
