The Daily Freeman Journal

Hamilton County wrestlers again turned in a strong showing at the 2012 Iowa High School State Wrestling championships, as three athletes came home with medals for the first time.

Webster City senior Royce Nessa was fourth at 145 pounds, and sophomore teammate Dylan Fielder placed sixth at 182 in ?Class 2A.

JD?Rader was just the third freshman from South Hamilton ever to qualify for state and he placed sixth at 113 pounds in Class 1A.

Webster City senior Luke Shannon didn't make the medal stand at 170 pounds, but he walked off the mat with more than 100 career victories, a feat matched by only seven other Lynx wrestlers. Nessa also eclipsed the mark.

Congratulations on a great season.
