Pleased with JunqueFest venue, offerings and turnout

To the Editor:

JunqueFest has found it’s home and it’s downtown Webster City, Iowa. The weekend of this yearly event was spectacular. The weather was great, the crowds were large and the vendors and shoppers were all happy. Even the short lived rain on Friday night just moved the fun to the inside with shoppers looking for even more treasures.

The sun came out again on Saturday and the was no mud to trudge through. The restaurants were full and the food vendors all had lines of hungry shoppers waiting to taste something a little something different out of the ordinary fare.

Much of the success goes to Deb Brown and Linda Christeson and the many volunteers for blending all the best elements of RVTV and the Junquefest into a community celebration.

There was that old Webster City spirit coming alive again with the music, the booths and everyone coming out to either shop or visit into the night.

Lots to do and plenty of room to shop or sit down at tables and have a snack and visit with friends.

My compliments to all who had any part of this event and looking forward to another celebration and another JunqueFest in downtown Webster City, Main Street USA.
