Legion offers thanks for Boys State benefit support

To the Editor:

The American Legion Post 191 would like to thank those who came to the 2017 Hawkeye Boys State Benefit that was held on Wednesday, August 10th at the Middle School Commons. The three boys that attended this year talked a little about how Hawkeye Boys State changed their lives to become better leaders. As a result of the benefit, we have received enough donations to send two boys to Boys State next year.

We would love to send more boys down, if you would still like to make a donation, please give us a call at the American Legion at (515) 832-2087. Commander Dale Caquelin and Post Boys State Chairman Marvin Carr would like to express their gratitude to those that came out in attendance and for those Legionnaires that came and helped out.

Dale Caquelin, Commander,

American Legion 191

Marvin Carr,

Post Boys State Chair
