Stealing from the dead
To the Editor:
Fifty-five years of participating in beautifying our Webster City cemetery as a memorial to our departed has brought me to the decision to no longer decorate their graves.
This year, to help cemetery workers with their mowing problems, I purchased a floral arrangement on a saddle and attached it to the stone. Four days later, everything was gone. After checking with the cemetery office and workers, we had to accept the fact that it hand been stolen.
Congratulations to the thief. You have reached the lowest possible stage of morality.
