To the Editor :

After attending two recent events, I’d like to acknowledge the thought and time put in by two local organizations. On Tuesday night Kendall Young Library offered another of their monthly DIY projects. On Wednesday, the Town and Country Garden Club offered a Yard Art workshop. In both cases, the events were free and all supplies were provided. The Garden Club even provided home-made treats for everyone attending. It reflects so well on this community that both the library staff and the Garden Club members are willing to take their time, effort and expense to provide activities that anyone can participate in. Instructions were provided, the hard work of organizing was done, and all those attending had to do was enjoy making the projects and have some laughs along the way.

Thanks to both these groups for their contribution to making small town Iowa a great place to live.
