Thanks for interest in National Commander’s visit

To the Editor:

I humbly appreciate the excellent news coverage The Daily Freeman-Journal and KQWC has done, when American Legion National Commander Dan Dellinger and his entourage visited our Post. Here at the American Legion Post 191, we try to make all veterans feel at home. If you have served in the armed forces, we all got a different story to tell. I have a friend that served three tours of Vietnam, another friend had four tours in Afghanistan. When all is said and done we still call Webster City our home. We still have to work in this community and make this the best place we can. Helping people is the name of the game, whether it is a veteran or a friend.

We’ll continue to serve our community as long as the good Lord lets us. I’ve enjoyed being the Commander and I’m looking forward to continuing to serve our community. I was very honored this past week to have a National Commander visit our Post.

Don’t forget the men and women fighting in Afghanistan. God bless America, and God bless all our troops. Some gave all and all gave some.

Ron Keigan

Commander,

American Legion Post 191
