Soup supper, hunger awareness event a success
To the Editor:
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the Faith United Methodist Soup Supper. We were able to make a profit of more than $900 and are sending all of the profit to Upper Des Moines Opportunity to be used in the food pantry. This could not have been accomplished without the generous donations of the people who attended.
The reason for the soup supper was to raise awareness of world hunger and to help people of our local community. With your help, our supper was a success, and many local people will be helped. Thank you again.
