JUNE ROE

June Roe, 93, of Webster City died Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Community Church of Kamrar Church with Pastor Peter Mueller officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Center Cemetery, south of Blairsburg. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.

June Darlene Roe, daughter of George and Hattie (Arends) Klaver, was born June 14, 1928 on the family farm by Kamrar. She graduated from Kamrar schools in 1945. On July 3, 1947, June was united in marriage to Raymond Gerald Roe at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. June enjoyed being a farmwife, working as the custodian for First Presbyterian Church and Community Church of Kamrar for 40 years.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Linda) Roe of Circleville, OH, David (Barb) Roe of Huntersville, NC, Ramona (Bill) Kalkwarf of Cedar Falls, Donald (Dianne) Roe of Webster City, Luann (Steve) Wagner of Le Claire; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

June is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Roe; her parents, George and Hattie Klaver; brothers, Arlon Klaver, Victor Klaver, Verlon Klaver and sister, Jula Isvik.

She was a member of the Community Church of Kamar where she was active in Kids Alive, Vacation Bible School, and the church circle. June enjoyed showing items at the Hamilton County Fair in the open class, she belonged to the Friendly Neighborhood Club. She earned the title “HGIC” (Head Grandma In Charge).
