Shawn Siders, 44, of Hopkins, MN went home to be with his Lord on Friday, July 3, 2020. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 8th at 10:30 AM with Pastor Gina Sterk officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-10 AM at the church. Following the service their will be a luncheon at the VFW in Fort Dodge, IA.
Shawn Patrick Siders, son of Donald Siders and Debra (Hoversten) Siders was born on May 16, 1976 in Fort Dodge, IA. He was a 1994 graduate of Webster City High School. After high school, Shawn went to the University of Iowa, and, in 2000, he earned his Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree. Shawn went on to serve as the town planner in Westminster, MD. In 2010, he earned his law degree from Hamline University and practiced for several years. Shawn then transitioned careers, using his exceptional entrepreneurial skills to explore small business ventures.
Shawn is survived by his wife, Stephanie, and son, Nico, of Hopkins, MN; mother, Debra Siders (Steve Grandors), of Eagle Grove; sisters Tammy (Greg) Massman of Webster City and Jayme (Irrael) Reyes of Fort Dodge; nieces and nephews: Kaylee, Kory, Kaden, and Kinley Massman, Kortney Siders, Janaysha Severin, Karina, Kelanie, Karli, Klarisza, and Isrrael Reyes. Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Don; brother, Shannon; grandparents Retha and Gerald Nervig, Iona Hoversten, and Mel Hoversten.
