INA CORMANEY

Ina Cormaney, 97, of Webster City, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at First Congregational U.C.C. with Reverend Craig Blaufuss officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Presbyterian Cemetery, east of Kamrar. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ina Deloris Cormaney, daughter of Arch and Hilka Jansen Cormaney, was born May 11, 1921 at the family farm southeast of Kamrar. She graduated from Blairsburg High School in 1938. Ina attended Webster City Junior College and Buena Vista College. She taught the 3rd grade in Kamrar Public and rural schools for 23 years and was beloved by her students. Ina was known for the way she cared for others, including family members and her special friend, Barbara Ruth Welp. Their close friendship was a great blessing in their lives. Ina lived at Southfield Wellness Community for over 10 years and she was active, outgoing and enjoyed visiting others. She had a deep committed faith and she lived her life as a Christian example to others.

Ina is survived by nieces, Alice, Anita, Laura and nephews, Mike, Jim, Jeff, John, Lynn; brother-in-law, Herb Harms and close friends, Rod and Brenda Derry and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Elmer and Lester Cormaney; sisters, Vera Mae Hagar, Mary Ann Harms; sister-in-law, Nona Cormaney; brother-in-law, Robert Hagar; and special friend Barbara Ruth Welp.

She was a member of First Congregational U.C.C. and a former member of the Presbyterian Church of Kamrar. Ina enjoyed sports, playing basketball, cooking and baking.
