ELEANOR VOSS

Eleanor Voss, 87, of Woolstock, died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Windsor Manor in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Eichler officiating. Burial will be at Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center in Webster City.

Eleanor Ann Peterson, the daughter of Arthur and Sarah Lind Peterson was born on October 28, 1930 in Moorland. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1949. She attended Business College after graduation. Eleanor married Marvin Albert Voss on September 14, 1951 at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. After she was married she worked for Dr. Smith and Dr. Hogenson in Eagle Grove until her son, Steve, was born. The family moved to the farm in Woolstock where Steve now farms.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin of Webster City, son, Steve (Lou) Voss of Woolstock, grandchildren, Lindsey (Chris) Schlesser of Maurice, and Jordan Voss of Clarion; brother, Lowell Peterson of Colorado Springs, Co.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons in infancy, Lonnie and Jeffrey Voss; sisters, Arlene Habermehl, Ellen Wheat, Loretta Sternitzke and Marjorie Peltz; brothers, Herbert, Orville, Larry, Glen and Devon Peterson.

Eleanor was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Webster City. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed taking care of them. In her words, when Steve married Lou, everything was wonderful. When her grandbabies were born, it changed all their lives and led to a wonderful life for them all.
