Neva Jean Jacobson, 93, Story City

Neva was born on November 21, 1924 in Champaign, Illinois to Oscar and Neva (Garrick) Hall. She married Stanton Jacobson on October 6, 1946. She worked for many years as a legal secretary for the J.C. Brekken Law Firm.

Neva was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling, embroidering for the Bethany Life Gift Shop, and volunteering at the Story City RSVP. Neva dearly loved her grandchildren and animals at the Animal Rescue League in Des Moines.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jacobson of Ames and Martha Jacobson of Arvada, CO.; a son, Tom Jacobson of Great Falls, MT; two grandchildren, Rachael and Tanner; and two sisters, Helen Triplett of Mesa, AZ and Shirley Comeaux of Northfield, MN.

Neva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanton, on August 17, 1987; and a sister, Mary Margaret Mourlam.
