Muriel Johnson, 87, Iowa Falls

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Northlawn Memory Gardens.

Muriel was born November 24, 1927 to Vern George and Blanche Marie (Combs) Dawson. On December 25, 1949, Muriel Dawson was united in marriage to Robert Eugene “Bob” Johnson at her parent’s home in Dows, Iowa. To this union six children were born: James, Raymond, David, Thomas, Jerry, and Janet. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, Iowa

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Jim(Tana)Johnson of Coal City, Illinois; Ray (Lorae) Johnson of West Des Moines, Iowa; Dave (Jodi) Johnson of Lynnville, Iowa; Tom (Rhonda) Johnson of Iowa Falls, Iowa; Jerry (Teresa) Johnson of North Manchester, Indiana; Janet (Mike) Thompson of Boise, Idaho; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren, and one sister, Arlene Rowland of Ankeny, Iowa.

In death Muriel rejoins her parents, husband, Robert Eugene “Bob” Johnson, one grandson, Timothy Johnson, brother, George Dawson and her sister Ardith Gaulke.
