A two vehicle accident occurred on Monday in the Hy-Vee parking lot. Virgil?L. Gordon, Webster?City, was backing west out of a parking stall. Gary L. Bettis, Webster City, was traveling northbound in the parking lot. The rear left bumper of Gordon’s vehicle collided into the right side of Bettis’s vehicle. There were no injuries. Gordon’s vehicle sustained an estimated $2,000 in damage. Bettis’s vehicle sustained an estimated $1,000 in damage.

On March 22, Robert E. Rivers, Fort Dodge, was arrested for driving while suspended.

Anthony W. Birkey, Fort Dodge, was arrested on March 22 for violation of an order of protection.

De Anna J. Ramirez-Trujillo, Webster City, was arrested on March 22 for driving while suspended.

Daniel Contreras Sanchez, Webster City, was arrested on March 19 for 5th degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Melvin L. Hanus, Jr., Webster City, was arrested on March 17 for driving while suspended and providing false identification.

Erin R. Roberts, Webster City, was arrested on March 17 for driving while suspended.

A warrant to arrest Samuel A. Davis, Webster City, was served on March 16.

On Tuesday, Scott A. Williamson, Fort Dodge, was west bound on the 600 block of 2nd Street and Willson Ave. Williamson’s vehicle struck a legally parked Hyundai. The Hyundai received an estimated $2,600 in damage.

Lyle K. Moss, Webster City, was arrested on March 8 for driving under the influence.

Dustin D. Harris, Webster City, was arrested on March 7 for trespass of real property.

Dustin D. Harris, Webster City, was arrested on March 6 for 5th degree theft.

Troy A. Brinkman, Webster City, was arrested on March 6 for driving under the influence.

Christopher T. Wardell, Webster City, was arrested on March 5 for driving while license barred.

Brandon M. Pelz, Webster City, was arrested on March 4 for the violation of a no-contact order.

Police Reports

A two vehicle accident occurred on Sunday. Veni Martinez, Webster City, was traveling south on Grove Street and Kevin S. Dingman, Webster City, was traveling west on Elm Street. The front of Martinez’s vehicle collided with the passenger side of Dingman’s vehicle. Dingman spun around. There were no injuries. The accident happened in an uncontrolled intersection. Both autos sustained an estimated $2,000 in damage.. Martinez was cited for failure to have a license.

On Thursday, Darla D. Gabrielson, Ames, was traveling north on Highway 17 over the overpass to Superior Street and was attempting to turn left onto the ramp to U.S. Highway 20. Carla McCollough, Webster City, was traveling south. Gabrielson turned into McCollough’s oncoming vehicle and reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic. Gabrielson’s vehicle sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage. McCollough’s vehicle received an estimated $5,000 in damage.

A hit-and-run was reported in the Kmart parking lot on March 9. An unknown vehicle collided with the unattended, legally-parked vehicle of David B. Elledge, Webster City. Elledge’s vehicle sustained a reported $1,000 in damage.

Two warrants were served to arrest Joseph L. Craig Jr., Webster City, on March 8.

Dale L. Bahrenfuss, Webster City, was arrested on March 5 for simple assault.

Police Reports

On Saturday, Renada S. Bedford, Waukee, was traveling west on Walnut Street. Rylee R. Lawson, Webster City, was traveling south on Beach Street. Bedford failed to yield to Lawson and did not come to a complete stop. The front of Bedford’s vehicle struck the driver’s side of Lawson’s vehicle. Lawson sustained injuries and was checked and released on scene. Lawson’s vehicle received an estimated $7,000 in damage and was totaled. Bedford’s vehicle sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage. Bedford was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and driving while license suspended.

Patrick O’Brien, Baltimore, MD, was traveling north bound on Superior St. from U.S. Highway 20 on Friday. O’Brien was attempting to turn east on Red Bull Division Drive. O’Brien waited too late to turn and hit the merge right sign in the median. There were no injuries. O’Brien’s vehicle sustained $200 in damage. Damage to the sign was estimated to be $200.

A two-vehicle accident occurred on March 3. Kyle J. Timm, Webster City, was traveling westbound on Second St. Ranae L. Anderson, Webster City, was traveling eastbound on Second St. Anderson turned south on Superior St. As Anderson merged into the left lane, Timm ran into the back end of Anderson’s vehicle. Anderson reportedly advised Timm was traveling at a high rate of speed. Timm’s vehicle received an estimated $700 in minor damage. Anderson’s vehicle sustained an estimated $600 in minor damage.

Patrick A. Nieman, Kamrar, was arrested on Feb. 26 for 5th degree theft.

Police Reports

On March 1, the WCPD was called to Prospect St. and Second St. for an accident. Magdalene R. Breitenkamp, Webster City, said that she was coming up to the stop sign and was slowing down when her vehicle slid on the ice and snow and went through the intersection. Larry D. Eekhoff, Webster City, was stopped at the stop sign on Prospect St. and was in the process of turning left onto Second St. when Breitenkamp’s autos hit him in the driver’s side front tire. Breitenkamp’s vehicle sustained an estimated $1,000 in damage. Eekhoff’s vehicle sustained an estimated $500 in damage. There were no citations issued and no injuries reported at the time of the accident.

Tyler G. Johnson, Thornton, attempted to stop at the stop sign at Second St. and Prospect St. behind Brittney A. Pamperin, Eagle Grove. Johnson’s auto slid into the back of Pamperin’s vehicle due to the slick road conditions. There were no injuries. Johnson’s vehicle sustained an estimated $600 in damage. Pamperin’s vehicle received an estimated $1,500 in damage. The accident occurred on Tuesday.

Robert D. Young, Jr., Webster City, was arrested on Feb. 28 for the following offenses: possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, failure to file an SR-22 insurance, operation without registration, driving while license suspended, and a Hamilton County warrant for his arrest.

A warrant was served to arrest Brandon L. Dodson, Webster City, on Feb. 27.

A warrant was served to arrest Lauren S. Friddle, Webster City, on Feb. 26.

A Webster County warrant was served to arrest Dale L. Bahrenfuss, Webster City, on Feb. 21.

Tyler A. Blair, Fort Dodge, was arrested on Feb. 19 for 5th degree theft.

Police Reports

John C. Schlack, Webster City, was arrested on Feb. 25 for the following offenses: reckless driving and excessive speed.

Brandon J. Hoveland, Webster City, was backing into a parking spot at Fairmeadow Apartments on Feb. 24 when he hit the front of a legally parked Chevrolet SLV. There was no driver in the Chevrolet. There was a witness. There were no injuries. Hoveland’s vehicle received an estimated $100.00 in minor damage. The Chevrolet received an estimated $1,000.00 in minor damage.

Lauren S. Friddle, Webster City, was arrested on Feb. 21 for the following offenses: assault, child endangerment, excessive speed, and reckless driving.

On Feb. 19, Michael L. Burtnett, Webster City, was backing out of a driveway onto Bank St. and struck a 2002 Pontiac Montana which was legally parked on the side of the road. Burtnett’s vehicle sustained an estimated $200.00 in minor damage. The Pontiac sustained an estimated $400.00 in minor damage.
