Board to consider recognition of athletic coaches

The Webster City school board will discuss the recognition of athletic coaches Monday night as the board meets in regular session. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the school administration building.

The board members Richard Stroner and Eric Patterson have been meeting with a committee to discuss possible ways for recognizing and honoring coaches with lengthy careers at the school or winning records. The committee is expected to make recommendations on ways to recognize coaches.

The board will also review a contract with William Penn University for hosting student teachers and practicum students.

A gift from the Williams Lions Club and Summer and NEH Summer Rec for bottle filling stations at the Northeast Hamilton will be accepted by the board.

Fundraising requests are also on the agenda. The board will consider requests from the Elementary PTO to sell cookie dough and for the NEH Spirit Club to host a carnival night.

A contract recommendation for Arrin Lura, paraeducator, is also on the agenda.

A report from Superintendent Dr. Mandy Ross will also be presented to the board.
