Legacy Learning plans special Valentine’s event

Workshop to be offered in person and online

Legacy Learning Boone River Valley is offering a special Valentine’s event for couples or friends to create a clay heart keepsake.

The Heart Keepsake event is set for Thursday, Feb. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Produce Station Pottery, 723 Superior St., Webster City. Madalyn Loring, instructor, will demonstrate how to create Valentine heart keepsakes or a coil pot. Participants can decorate the item with clay attachments, carvings or paint with underglaze. During the session, the keepsakes will be created, with sculpted details and decorations and paint with underglaze. The studio will fire the pieces and they will be ready to pick up the following week. Call the studio to arrange a time to pick them up.

The workshop will be offered in-person with masks and social distancing at the studio. Participants can also pick up a clay kit for a Zoom lesson. A Zoom link will be provided after registration on the day of the class. Call before 5 p.m. Thursday to pick up a kit curbside.

Tuition is $30 for one person or $50 for a couple or two friends. Register in-store, via the phone (515-835-1264) or online at www.legacylearningbrv.org.
