FORT DODGE — Mid-Iowa Development Association (MIDAS) Council of Governments, a voluntary association of local governments headquartered in Fort Dodge, announced today that it will be adopting a new name and logo as part of a comprehensive rebranding process, with the transition to the new name completed by Jan.1, 2021. To be known as Pathfinders Strategic Partners, the organization is transforming to meet the needs of the communities it serves, according to officials.

Pathfinders is a intergovernmental agency providing services in the areas of comprehensive planning, grant funding and administration, community development, housing support, transportation, and transit services. The agency serves member governments in Calhoun, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Webster, and Wright counties.

The new brand is designed to communicate the comprehensive suite of services offered by the organization. Pathfinders Strategic Partners employs an Executive Director, fourteen professional planning and support staff, and 29 drivers who operate the Pathfinders Regional Transit and the Dodger Area Rapid Transit systems, the area’s only public transit services.
