Area residents are invited to attend an Iowa Taxpayers’ meeting planned for Webster City on Thursday, Aug. 1.

Tom Sands, president and chief executive officer of Iowa Taxpayers’ Association in Des Moines, will be traveling around Iowa to visit with members and guests about Iowa’s fiscal policy.

These regional meetings will give participants and opportunity to discuss tax policy issues and what changes could be made to improve the tax climate in the state.  Organizers said the events are a great way to meet members of the association and discover the importance they play in forming sound tax policy in Iowa.

The meeting will be held at the Second Street Emporium at 9 a.m.
