Upper Des Moines Opportunity is now taking applications for the Back-to-School Program.

Low-income families can sign up for a new backpack and school supplies for their children in preschool through high school.

UDMO is also in need of donations of new school supplies and new backpacks. Monetary donations can also be mailed or dropped off at the new office location, 1610 Collins St., Webster City,

The Back to School Bash will be held Aug. 15 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at The Bridge. Participants must pre-register. Officials with UDMO offered thanks to the community for the supporting the program.
