HCPOA golf tourney to benefit officer’s family

Annual event to be held at Briggs Woods course, conference center Saturday

The 2019 Hamilton County Peace Officers Association will hold its annual golf benefit Saturday and this year, the proceeds will go to the family of Waterloo police officer.

Waterloo Police Department Sgt. Robert Greenlee III died April 15, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Melanie, and two sons.

The event will be held at Briggs Woods Golf Course and

the Briggs Woods Conference Center beginning at 9 a.m.

The tourney will be 4-person best shot, In order to reserve a spot for a team, contact Russ Appel at the Briggs Woods Clubhouse, 832-9572. The cost is $220 per team if prepaid, which includes two golf carts. The cost is $160 per team if players have their own golf carts.

The cost on the day of the tournament is $250 per team with two golf carts or $200 per team using their own carts.

The golf outing will also feature a raffle, gun auction, live auction and a meal, with serving beginning at 5 p.m. in the new Briggs Woods Conference Center.
