VINCENT — The Vincent City Hall was allegedly robbed by a black male with dreadlocks and wearing a blue shirt Tuesday afternoon, according to Webster County Sheriff Jim Stubbs.

The suspect allegedly shoved a woman into a room and took an undisclosed amount of money, Stubbs reported.

No injuries were reported.

Stubbs also said no weapons were believed to have been displayed.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

The incident was reported about 4:30 p.m. but it may have happened about an hour before, according to Stubbs.

The brick building is a former bank with the word BANK still inscribed in concrete over the door.

Stubbs and sheriff’s deputies were on scene obtaining witness statements and other evidence.

No arrests were made as of press time Tuesday night.

The Webster County Sheriff’s Department continues its investigation.
