A community champion
The Hamilton County Jail received an award last week at the Mental Health Awareness Day Conference held in Webster City.
Sheriff Doug Timmons was presented with the award for outstanding leadership and commitment to the citizens of Hamilton County, your guidance, persistence and dedication to those who struggle with mental health issues.
Hamilton County Jail works with Patti Treibel-Leeds and Carrie Hisler from Central Iowa Community Services to get mental health services to those in the jail.
Through this, the jail has been able to assist countless people who were in need of the services.
