A first-of-its-kind artisan market is coming to Webster City on Saturday.

Stony Creek Landscapes will open its doors to display the works of four local artists on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to Sherry Adams, co-owner of the business

The artists include Gail Boothe, Jill Luedtke, Sueann Adams Willman and Tim Adams.

“The people we have working for us are really talented. They are in the arts,” said Sherry Adams. “We just wanted to showcase these people and their art.”

The pieces, include garden and nature-themed items in metal, wood and paper. Adams said the items will be for sale.

“They would make great one-of-a kind gifts for people on your Christmas list,” she said. Personalization of items will be available for special order.

The work of Adams’ husband, Tim, a well-known metal sculptor, will be on display. Tim Adams has many pieces on display across the central U.S., including several items that are permanently placed.

Saturday also marks Small Business Saturday. Small Business Saturday is a shopping holiday held on the Saturday after US Thanksgiving during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year.

“That’s kind of nice,” said Adams. “People can stop by a local shop and find items made by local artists.”

Adams said she hoped the event will be successful and even grow and continue in the future.

“We like to preserve and promote the arts and the environment,” she said. “And we thought this was a great way to do that.”
