WCHS gets ready for Homecoming 2018

Webster City High School will observe Homecoming 2018 next week with special spirit days throughout the week.

Students will be participating in dress-up days the week of Homecoming and a volleyball tournament during the day on Wednesday.

The community is invited to Boom Night on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. which includes coronation of the king and queen. This year’s candidates are Maddie Dyvig, Cheyenne Johnson, Kamry Dawson, Natalie Asklund, Madi Schwering, Drake Doolittle, Dylan Steen, Caleb Olson, Isaac Bernard and Caden Felts.

The Lynx football squad will face Perry Friday night.

The Homecoming Dance will take place on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 8 to 11 p.m.


The WCHS National Honor Society asks all interested participants to sign up for a homecoming parade entry this year.

The parade will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28. Line up will begin at 1:30 p.m. and commence on Seneca Street on the west side of Twin Parks. All parade entries will be contacted with the location of where to line up before the parade.

The parade will travel north on Seneca Street, turn west on Second Street, turn south on Des Moines Street and end at the Webster City Middle School.

Any individual, nonpolitical group, or business, associated with the high school, is invited to contact the WCHS office to register their parade entry. The registration deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. Any questions can be directed to the high school office at 832-9210.
