Drivers honored

Southfield Wellness Community hosted the Annual Meals on Wheels Brunch to show appreciation to the drivers, who loyally deliver noon meals to Webster City residents who are less mobile. Any Webster City resident interested in receiving a warm meal delivered to their door Monday-Friday can call Hamilton County Public Health to register for the program, 832-9565. Southfield Wellness Community prepares the daily meals. There is always a need for substitute drivers. Anyone interested in knowing more information about driving can call Julie Tharp, new volunteer coordinator, 832-7935. Those attending the brunch are (L-R) front row: Bob Erickson (president), Tom McLaughlin, Joan VanDeer (former volunteer coordinator and secretary-treasurer), Julie Tharp (new volunteer coordinator). Middle row are Pat Tempel, Lois Olson, Barb Law, Mary Long (new secretary-treasurer), Betty Weber-Maxted, Mary Kepler, Judy McLaughlin, Donna McCollough. Back row are Kathy Theobald, Bill Olson, Jim Kepler, Tom Vaske. Unavailable for the photo were Lina Davidson and Becky Koppen, RSVP Coordinator.
