Great deals and meals await women this week in Webster City as businesses and restaurants take part in the annual Ladies Night Out event, from noon to 9 p.m. on Thursday. More than 20 unique Webster City storefronts will be open for shoppers.

“It’s going to be a beautiful day to come to Webster City to shop, dine and play,” said Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce Director Linda Christianson.

Along with sales, retailers will have an assortment of food and beverages for customers to sample.

“There is going to be a lot of food. The restaurants have specials,” Christianson said. “Everybody has some good deals and good specials.”

Businesses and restaurants throughout Webster City will be open.

“Not all of the businesses participating in Ladies Night Out are downtown,” said Christianson. “We have businesses that are located all over Webster City.”

“All of the participating businesses have Ladies Night Out Specials,” she said.

For every $20 spent, individuals can be entered to win one of four gift certificate boxes. One entry will be submitted for every $20 spent.

“By supporting our local businesses you’re supporting the local economy.” Christianson said. “Shopping local first is very important.”

Christianson said Ladies Night Out is a good time for individuals to get a start on their holiday shopping.

“We have a lot of unique shops here in town that offer a unique selection,” Christianson said.

Thursday’s forecast calls for sunny skies and temperatures in the low 70s, which according to Christianson, is perfect weather for hitting the town.

“It’s going to be a fun event,” said Christianson. “The weather is going to be fantastic. We invite ladies to bring their friends.”

Here are some of the local businesses participating this year: Gilbert Flooring and Paint, Gilbert Jewelers, Hamilton County Extension, Heart N Home, Interior Spaces, Lunchbox Market, Mornin’ Glory Coffee, Osweiler’s Fashions, Grid Iron Grill, Pampered Chef: Cindi Sweedler, R Company, Salon Meraki, Second Street Emporium, Seneca Street Saloon, Shanti Wellness Day Spa, PrimeLife, LLC, SOS Vintage, The Big Picture, The Produce Station, The air Mechanix, Van Diest Medical Center, Webster Theater, and Whoop-Ti-Doos.
