Community comes out for music and school pride event

The Webster City High School Lynx cheerleaders lead the crowd in a cheer during the pep rally/tailgate Thursday night at Availa Bank Plaza. After the pep rally, attendees stayed to enjoy Music in the Park and participate in the open mic portion.

Lynx fall sports athletes were recognized Thursday night during a pep rally at Availa Bank Plaza. The football, cross country team, and volleyball team were introduced by WCHS football coach Bob Howard. After the pep rally, Music in the Park began.

Availa Bank Plaza was bursting with Lynx pride Thursday night. The Webster City High School fall sports teams, cheerleaders and WCHS football coach Bob Howard were on hand to talk the hard work each person has put in for the upcoming season.

Community members were also able to enjoy a Lynx Wall of Fame, which consisted of Lynx fall sports memorabilia. Old newspaper clippings, cheer

leading uniforms and a cross country uniform were on display for the public to check out.

Children in attendance were able to enjoy a bouncy house and art activity that was put on by Legacy Learning Boone River Valley.
