ELLSWORTH — It was a festive day in Ellsworth Tuesday, when a ribbon cutting was held for one of the town’s newest industries.

AgSource Laboratories hosted the ceremony at their 15,000 square foot facility on Detroit Street on the east side of Ellsworth. Formerly located on DeWitt Street, the business has been in Ellsworth since 1992, when it was known as LGI. Owners Mike and Terry Lindaman sold their company to AgSource in 2010.

The company offers agricultural and environmental laboratory testing and information management services and has six locations around the country. The new fully integrated facility in Ellsworth has all their functions under one roof, streamlining the sample process.

The Ellsworth Development Group worked closely with AgSource for its new facility. Marv Noren, president of the group, said Tuesday that the town is “very happy to have you folks here.”
