Kendall Young Library to host first-ever adult game night Tuesday

In need of a night out? Enjoy games of strategy and good company? Kendall Young Library will be hosting an Adults Only Game Night at the library on Tuesday, July 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Adults ages 18 and up are invited to bring their favorite board or card game, or use games from the library’s collection and have some serious tabletop gaming fun.

“This is a great way to socialize with other adults, cool off from the heat and relax,” said Ketta Lubberstedt-Arjes, Kendall Young Library reference librarian. “This is a fun way for adults to get out of the house without the kids and play games that are designed for adults.”

The library has games including Settlers of Cataan, Munchkin Deluxe, Sway – the game of persuasion, Silver Linings, Code Name, Ticket to Ride, Exploding Kitten, One Night Werewolf, Family Business and more.

“We’re hoping to make this a regular event at the library,” Lubberstedt-Arjes said.

Refreshments will be provided free of charge. No registration is required.

Contact Kendall Young Library at (515) 832-9100 for more information about the event.
