Second Music in the Park set for tonight

Band to perform and mic is open for local performers

Music in the Park and Open Mic Night is returning to Availa Bank Plaza Thursday night.

The music starts at 7 p.m. and will continue until 10 p.m. Roadhard will be the featured entertainment for the night.

The public is encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy the musical entertainment, along with an opportunity to showcase local talent in an open-mic format. Anyone who wishes to take the stage and sing themselves are welcome. Those who wish to sing must sign up at the sound booth with event organizer Michael Hanson beforehand.

“This is a great opportunity to enjoy a hometown summer evening in Webster City and to hear some fantastic local musical talent,” said Linda Christianson, Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.

Music in the Park is a monthly summer event sponsored by the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce and co-sponsored by Square Inc.

Hy-Vee will be providing food for a charge.

Availa Bank Plaza is located at the corner of Des Moines Street and Second Street.

Christianson encouraged local residents to watch the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page for any updates concerning changes due to the weather.
