Youths participate in spelling bee at the 2017 Hamilton County Fair

The 2016 Iowa State Fair Queen, Amanda Riniker, was on hand at the spelling bee. Riniker passed out ribbons to participants and took the time to take photos with one of the spelling bee champs, Nolan Naso.

Spelling bee contestants at this year’s Hamilton County Fair got the chance to meet royalty. The 2016 Iowa State Fair Queen, Amanda Riniker, was on hand to pass out ribbons at the event.

Multiple age categories competed in the event.

This year’s queen contestants also got the opportunity to speak with Riniker about her reign as Iowa State Fair Queen.

Children’s activities continue today out at the fairgrounds. The coloring mural will take place in the Ed Prince Building throughout Thursday.
